Here are some tips and simple application directions for those new to using our deodorants.
Hold the stick to your skin for a couple seconds to allow the coconut oil to warm and then you only need to apply 1 or 2 swipes. Less is more! Stinkbug contains quite a bit of baking soda which massively eliminates odor naturally.
Being that our deodorants are coconut oil-based, it would be best to store below 27C / 80F.
Give it time to work! Especially if you are switching from an anti-perspirant because the aluminum found in anti-perspirants and other “natural” deodorants clogs pores. Your body needs an opportunity to sweat and detox. Two weeks at most should do the trick!
Since our handmade soap is in its pure and natural state, it doesn't contain any synthetic preservatives or artificial hardeners. It doesn't need to. With just a little care and feeding, you can prolong the life of your soap and it will serve you very well.
- Don't let your soap drown in water.
- Feed your soap plenty of fresh air between uses.
- Store your soap on a well drained soap dish.
- Use your soap within 6 months of purchase.
- Store yet to use soap in a dark cool place.
Please do not use a shampoo bar once or twice and decide you don't like it. You need to give the shampoo bars about a week to rid your hair of the old residues from your commercial shampoo. Because shampoo bar soaps do not strip hair in the same way as detergent based shampoos you may notice your hair feeling different after washing than you may be accustomed.
Rub the bar between your hands to work up some lather, then rub your hands directly on your hair. Work the lather into your scalp and rinse thoroughly. Be sure that you really get a good lather and rinse well.
We strongly recommend washing your hair twice each time as the first wash is to remove dirt and grease and the second wash can then deep cleanse the hair & scalp.
